Ursine Logic's Child-Free By Choice, Overpopulation, Dogs, and Cats Sections

We live on a small planet with too many people and not enough resources to support us all. We must conserve what we have, reuse it, recycle it. But most important we have to accept that overpopulation is a problem. The most unselfish act an human being can do for the planet is to voluntarily remain child-free. Instead of breeding, adopt an already born child in a foster home who longs for a family. Rescue a dog or cat from a shelter or the street and you have a companion you can love and cherish with minimal stress on the planet. Until the shelters are empty, until the foster children have homes, until those who are forced to live on the streets and go hungry have homes and food, bringing more people into this world is a conscious act of selfishness no matter how you justify it.
